Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, customer-focused Retail Sales Staff member to join our sweet shop team. The candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, taking orders, packing sweets and snacks, handling billing, maintaining product displays, and ensuring a clean and welcoming shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide polite, attentive service.

• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable sweets, snacks, and gift packs.

• Explain product varieties, ingredients, prices, offers, and availability.

• Accurately weigh, pack, label, and present sweets and other products.

• Handle customer orders for takeaway and special occasions.

• Operate the billing/POS system and collect cash or digital payments accurately.

• Maintain attractive product displays and ensure products are properly stocked.

• Check product quality, freshness, packaging, and expiry dates.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the sales counter and customer area.

• Assist with stock counting and inform the supervisor about low-stock items.

• Handle customer questions and complaints politely and escalate issues when required.

• Follow shop policies, hygiene standards, and food-safety procedures.

• Support opening and closing activities of the shop.

• Perform other retail duties assigned by the Store Manager.
